Host Suraj Kandukuri started the show after being inspired by Hasan Minhaj’s Homecoming King. The standup special was one of the few times where Suraj felt like his own story was being shared in popular media, and by the end he was left longing for more representation. Outside of hosting BPWK, Suraj is a University of Michigan MBA, a deals consultant, a rock climber, a tea collector, and an avid podcast listener.
