Biography

Prashant Aswani is an American born musician of Indian decent.  Artists like Zakir Hussain, Ali Akbar Khan and Hariprasad chaurasia have been major influences and reflect Prashant’s deep connection to his roots.

• In his early years, Prashant attended the renowned Berklee College of music where he developed a firm grasp of western Jazz music. He was honored with the top award in his second year with “The Guitar Night” feature for the rock guitar Genre. Only 7 students are chosen every year to represent their varying styles. 

• During Prashant’s time at Berklee he was able to develop his own sound and started his journey as a solo artist. 

• Prashant was featured regularly in major music magazines worldwide. He also had his own instructional column for AXE guitar magazine in Italy. Soon after the successful release of his debut album Prashant began work on his sophomore album Duality.
